How To Get Khvostov in Destiny 2

In order to unlock the Khvostov exotic auto rifle, first complete the final shape campaign. Then, follow these steps:

1. Loot Region Chests throughout the Pale Heart to collect Lost Encryption Bits
   • There are 9 Region Chests in total, three per region.
2. Progress Micah-10’s quest line until Alone in the Dark.
3. Collect Lost Encryption Bits from Cysts.
   • There are 6 Cysts and 6 Lost Encryption Bits.
4. Once you’ve gathered 15 Lost Encryption Bits, go to the Impasse in the Pale Heart and go inside the Cosmodrome “wall”. Proceed through the insides until you stumble upon a golden chest. Open and receive the Legendary version Khvostov.
5. Collect 17 Motes of Light
   • 8 of them can be looted from Visions of the Traveler all throughout the Pale Heart;
   • The other 9 come from killing Overthrow bosses - three bosses for each region of the Pale Heart. Note: make sure to pick up Motes of Light from defeated bosses. They look just like Motes of Light from Gambit (white glowing pyramids).
6. Return to the Lost City in the Pale heart to the room where the Speaker was in Destiny 1.
7. Interact with pedestals to deposit the Motes of Light.
8. Once every mote is deposited, a chest will appear in the middle of the room. Open it to claim the Khvostov exotic auto rifle.
