War Within Season 1 M+ Dungeon Pool

In the first season of The War Within, the Mythic+ dungeon pool introduces a compelling mix of brand-new dungeons alongside beloved classics from previous expansions, creating an experience that challenges both seasoned veterans and newcomers alike.

Ara-Kara, City of Echoes

This mysterious dungeon immerses players in an eerie atmosphere, where echoes of the past pose challenges. The design of this dungeon revolves around the past influencing the present, creating unique obstacles.

Tailors with a skill level of 25 or higher can interact with Discordant Attendants, granting them the on-use ability Silk Thread, which can stun mobs for 10 seconds. This adds a layer of crowd control that can make a significant difference in key moments, providing strategic value and flexibility.

City of Threads

An ancient stronghold filled with traps and treasures. This dungeon challenges players with narrow corridors and overwhelming enemy forces, where every mistake can be costly.

Rogues, Priests, and Khaz Algar Engineers (Skill 25+) can interact with Queen Ansurek Shadecasters, granting the group a significant Stolen Power buff that enhances DPS, healing, and movement speed. This interactive element provides tactical depth and creates moments where quick decision-making can determine success or failure.

The Stonevault

An ancient stronghold filled with dangerous traps. This dungeon challenges players with narrow corridors and overwhelming enemy forces, where every mistake can be costly.

Warriors, Dwarves, and Khaz Algar Blacksmiths (Skill 25+) can find Imbued Iron Bars scattered around the dungeon. Interacting with these gives the Imbued Iron Energy buff, boosting versatility for 10 minutes. This can turn the tide in difficult encounters, offering an extra edge in defense and offense.

The Dawnbreaker

Set on a battlefield where light and darkness are in constant conflict, this dungeon is about quick reactions and precise execution. Players must adapt to an ever-changing environment to emerge victorious.

The light-and-dark motif provides unique environmental hazards, requiring players to constantly adjust their positioning and tactics. This dungeon is a test of coordination, as players must react to shifting zones of safety and danger throughout the run.

Mists of Tirna Scithe

A mystical forest from the Shadowlands expansion, this dungeon is filled with overgrown roots and hidden pathways. Players must navigate this maze-like setting while facing off against fae creatures and nature-themed enemies.

Interactions with Overgrown Roots and Depleted Anima Seeds allow certain classes and races (Night Elves, Druids, Herbalists, Tauren, and Highmountain Tauren) to unlock shortcuts, buffs, and even new checkpoints. These mechanics provide strategic skips and utility, helping to complete the dungeon more efficiently.

The Necrotic Wake

Another Shadowlands dungeon is known for its interactive weapons that assist in combat. Players face off against hordes of undead, with strategic weapon usage often determining success.

Players can pick up interactive weapons such as Discharged Anima, Bloody Javelin, Forgotten Forgehammer, and Discarded Shield to aid in defeating enemy packs and bosses. These weapons can be critical for overcoming difficult pulls, offering a way to handle tough encounters.

Siege of Boralus

Hailing from the Battle for Azeroth expansion, this dungeon features intense combat amid a stormy port city. Players will have to manage large groups of enemies while dealing with environmental hazards such as bad water and explosions.

Strategic positioning and careful control of enemy groups are essential, as improper handling can quickly lead to wipes. The ability to manage the chaos of the dungeon’s environmental hazards is key to success.

Grim Batol

A fortress filled with dragons and narrow, this dungeon is a test of both teamwork and individual performance. Precision is essential to survive the deadly dragon foes and overcome the challenges of this Cataclysm-era dungeon.

Players need to coordinate tightly, especially in tight spaces where positioning is critical. Missteps here can lead to devastating losses of time, making teamwork essential for achieving higher keystone completions.

TWW Mythic + Affixes

Taken together, the Mythic+ affixes add a great deal of complexity and strategy to the dungeons in Season 1 of The War Within. Making sure every run feels differently challenging, these affixes switch out every week, meaning that as the weeks go by, players need to continually formulate different tactics and compositions.

Keystone Level 2 — Xal'atath's Bargain

At Keystone Level 2, players will encounter their first affix: Xal'atath's Bargain. This affix presents four possible variants that change weekly: Ascendant, Voidbound, Oblivion, and Devour. Each variant introduces unique mechanics that affect the dungeon run, making every encounter different.

  1. Xal'atath's Bargain: Ascendant summons 10 Orbs of Ascendance approximately every minute. If these orbs finish casting, they will buff nearby enemies with 20% increased movement speed and Haste. Players must interrupt or crowd-control these orbs to prevent this buff and, in return, gain a 2% movement speed and Haste buff for each orb stopped.
  2. Xal'atath's Bargain: Voidbound introduces a Void Emissary that casts Dark Prayer, reducing damage taken by nearby enemies by 10% every 3 seconds. Upon defeating the emissary, players receive a 20-second buff that increases ability cooldown reduction by 20% and Critical Strike chance by 10%.
  3. Xal'atath's Bargain: Oblivion forces players to absorb Shattered Essence crystals before they reach enemies. If successful, players gain Mastery and Leech; if the crystals reach enemies, the mobs will receive a 10% damage reduction per crystal.
  4. Xal'atath's Bargain: Devour applies a Void Rift absorb shield to all players periodically. This shield must be healed or dispelled. If it remains, enemies heal for 10% of their health, but removing the shield grants players a buff that increases health by 2% and Critical Strike by 4%.

Keystone Level 4 — Fortified and Tyrannical

At Keystone Level 4, the affixes Fortified and Tyrannical alternate weekly.

  1. Fortified increases the health and damage of non-boss enemies by 20%, making trash packs significantly more challenging. Players will need to focus on crowd control, interrupts, and efficient DPS to handle the tougher mobs.
  2. Tyrannical increases the health of bosses by 30% and their damage by 15%. Boss fights become much longer and deadlier, requiring precise mechanics and good cooldown management to survive.

These two affixes rotate each week, ensuring players must adapt their strategy, whether dealing with enhanced trash mobs or more punishing boss encounters.

Keystone Level 7 — Challenger's Peril

At Keystone Level 7, the Challenger's Peril affix comes into play, significantly raising the stakes in every dungeon.

With this affix, every death in the dungeon costs the group 15 seconds on the timer, compared to the usual 5-second penalty. This makes mistakes far more costly, putting extra pressure on players to avoid unnecessary deaths and play with precision. The increased penalty for dying means that even small errors can jeopardize the success of the run, emphasizing careful execution and coordination.

Keystone Level 10 — Fortified and Tyrannical: Together

Keystone Level 10 the challenge reaches a new height as both Fortified and Tyrannical are active simultaneously. This means players will have to contend with both stronger trash mobs and tougher bosses in the same dungeon.

The combination of these two affixes forces groups to balance their approach, requiring adaptability and flawless teamwork. Players must switch between focusing on powerful trash packs and high-health, high-damage bosses, making every pull critical.

Keystone Level 12 — Xal'atath's Guile

Keystone Level 12, Xal'atath's Bargain is replaced with a more punishing affix: Xal'atath's Guile. This affix removes the beneficial aspects of the Bargain affixes and gives all enemies a flat 20% increase in health and damage.

Mastering all these affixes gets overwhelming, especially at those higher keystone levels. If you want to conquer these without breaking a sweat, Boosthive is your go-to destination for any TWW m+ boost: at specific affixes and pushing your keystone to greater heights. With professional assistance from Boosthive, this secures a smooth and enriching experience of conquering the mythic plus dungeons in The War Within Season 1.

War Within M+ Rewards

Each of these Feats of Strength obtained this season will have some exciting rewards that will help you stand out in Azeroth.

One of the main goals for any player would be achieving Keystone Master status, the purpose of which requires a minimum TWW m+ rating of 2000. With that, you will obtain a Diamond Mechsuit a mount to show off your skills in Mythic + dungeons.

These portals are account-bound and therefore allow all of your characters to benefit from such convenience in accessing these War Within m+ dungeons conveniently and quickly. This reward is quite handy if one engages with TWW m+ content often, as this way, one would be saving precious time between the runs.

Another big part of the Mythic+ experience is the titles and achievements that accompany them. Reaching a Mythic+ rating of 1500 confers the title "%s the Tempered" while ending the season at or above the 0.1% mark overall in your region will reward the prestigious title of Tempered Hero. The titles not only show an accomplishment but add a nice ring of prestige to your character mark that indeed shows you are one of the cream-of-the-crop players within the game.

Other than titles and mounts, all the rewards from gear in Mythic + dungeons scale with the level of the keystone. The higher ranked keystone you complete, the higher item level the loot dropped at the end of a dungeon will be, and the better rewards you will get from the Great Vault each week. Doing so completing a keystone level 10 dungeon rewards gear at item level 623 from the Great Vault and significantly cores out your power as you progress through the season.
